A CHAMPION FOR

CHANGEMAKERS

LIKE YOU!

Calling all industry-innovators, culture-shifters, changemakers, liberatory leaders, visionaries, rule breakers, and revolutionaries…

I want to change how we think about creating change!

I’m no stranger to ambition, and neither are my clients.

When you’re a go-getter, and the stakes feel super high as the world seems to burn, everything feels urgent.

It’s tempting to believe you should try to do everything possible to fix it all right this minute, or else why bother?

It’s also tempting to think that you need more money, power, influence, or fame to create change.

So where does that leave the regular folks who don’t have unlimited time, energy, money, etc.?

We know deep down it’s not an all-or-nothing affair, but what should we do?

Do the kind of good that only YOU can do.

I’m committed to powerful, inevitable, changemaking…by supporting changemakers like YOU!

That’s why I wrote You’ve Got This!: A Counterintuitive Guide to Powerful, Inevitable Changemaking.

Hi, I’m Erika (she/her)!

Over the past 20 years, I’ve helped hundreds of organizations & entrepreneurs exponentially expand their impact in alignment with their values by leveraging the power of connection-centered, relationship-driven sales & marketing strategies.

This has helped me live out my values through my work, and create ripples of positive change in various ways across several industries.

WE’RE SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST OUR WORK, RIGHT?

I’ve lived an interesting and exciting life and every part of it informs how I work.

I know my clients are more than just their work too. Their values, stories, experiences, and identities play an integral role in how they run their organizations.

While there’s so much more I want to contribute to the world, many of the things I’ve already done were the reason I decided to write my book. People would learn that I’d done certain things and say, “I wish I could do that!” or ask, “How’d you do that?” The reality is people don’t realize they CAN do a lot of this stuff too!

We’re not meant to all follow the same path. Sure, trying new things, deviating from the “norm,” and risking failure feels scary. But there’s also a lot of magic in that too. Plus, think about who benefits when we shrink ourselves. It’s certainly not the collective.

xx Erika

FUN FACTS ABOUT ME:

Testifying before Congress

In January 2016, I testified before the United States’ House Subcommittee of Agriculture and Nutrition. I had five minutes to share my testimony about military food insecurity.

I’m a fierce activist on this issue, and it’s one far too few people even know exists.

I’ve also been interviewed about it on ABC News Primetime, NPR, and more!

Running for Office

In January 2017, I was asked to run for the role of Village Justice for the Village of Ballston Spa in upstate New York. No, I don’t have legal experience, but I didn’t need it for the position.

I lost by 69 votes, but our canvassing efforts massively improved voter turnout and helped elect two Democrats to the Board (for the first time in nearly three decades!)

Regenerative Farming & Food Justice

Many years ago, I ran a micro-farm called Little Sparrow Farm, named after a Dolly Parton Song. I turned most of my yard into growing beds and sold at markets and local restaurants.

I’m passionate about the power of food & farming, and I’ve got lots of strong opinions on farmworker rights and food access issues.

Middle Earth Fandom

I’m obsessed with Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Every fall, I boisterously celebrate Hobbit Week, which is the week of Hobbit Day (Sept. 22). Every winter, I rewatch the extended versions of both trilogies.

I’m truly a Hobbit at heart and I love when people send me LOTR memes.

Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby

I’ve both played and refereed women’s flat-track roller derby with the Albany All Stars of upstate New York. The intra-league team I skated on was The Department of Public Hurts.

My derby name is Brass Snuggles but most of my friends call me “Snuggs.“

(I could barely skate when I tried out too!)

Love for all things Spooky & Strange

When I’m not working, there’s a good chance I’m watching a documentary about true crime or cults, or listening to a podcast on those topics; with Law & Order SVU re-runs sprinkled in for good measure.

I also get a kick out of Halloween & all things spooky. I still dress up each year even though my son stopped years ago.

Word on the Street

  • Erika is the person I look to for guidance

“Erika will help you work with your strengths and identify areas where you can improve so that you can see immediate outcomes. When I really want to be focused in my efforts and in implementing changes, Erika is the person I look to for guidance.”

    — Kristin Brenner

  • Erika is ethical and compassionate

“Erika’s superpower is making big, nebulous things (like marketing) feel actionable and doable.

I would recommend Erika to anyone who is looking to get whole-human, individualized marketing help with their business. Erika’s definitely not “one-size fits all” with her help, and is the antithesis of “bro-dude” marketing. (Ugh!)

She’s ethical and compassionate and genuinely wants to help grow your business in a way that feels good and is sustainable to you.”

    — Stephanie Cleary

  • Erika is my sales secret weapon!

“Her wide range of experiences and positive spin on marketing has built up and expanded both my own confidence and the confidence of my clients.”

    — Beryl Young
